Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a float pool position requiring a CT or compact RN license and at least one year of relevant experience.
Details
- Float pool position covering Medical/Surgical units
- Cares for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Uses Cerner for documentation and Omnicell for medication administration
- Utilizes SBAR communication system
- Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend coverage required
Requirements
- Active CT or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Skilled in blood product administration, peripheral line care, and PICC line management
- Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Previous travel nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Provides Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care as part of a flexible float pool team
- Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted at a reduced rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
