Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with at least 1 year of recent acute care experience for a 13-week night shift contract requiring an active KS or Compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit setting within an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS certification in hand
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg (acute care) RN experience required
• Previous Med/Surg or step-down experience preferred
• New graduates not accepted
• 2-step TB test or blood draw completed within the past 12 months required
• Hep B, Varicella, and MMR immunization records or titers completed within the past 12 months required
• TDAP vaccination required

Additional Information

• Orientation begins with HR sessions before transitioning to on-floor training
• Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday
• Full-week RTO requests during major holiday weeks will not be accepted
• Credentialing documents due the Wednesday prior to start date
