Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring RRT credentialing within 12 months of hire.
Details
- Work in a hospital Respiratory Care department serving all patient age levels
- Night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- 26-week contract assignment
- Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
- Uses computerized medical record system for documentation
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable)
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire
- ACLS certification (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
- RRT credential required within 12 months of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred
- Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff
- Act as a resource person to medical staff for respiratory care matters
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records
- Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
- Provide age-appropriate care across all patient populations served by the department
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Credentialing and onboarding requirements are strict, with no allowance for start date delays
- Workers may extend a contract one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
- A 30-day written notice is required to cancel or end an assignment early
