Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment offering day shift hours in a hospital's Respiratory Care department.
Details
- Respiratory Care department serving all appropriate age levels and areas of the facility
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program required
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable)
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- RRT credential must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already held
- Current BLS required upon hire
- ACLS required within 3 months of hire
- Minimum of one year of experience required
- Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred
Additional Information
- Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
- Record treatment information and patient response in the computerized medical record
- Serve as a resource to medical staff on respiratory care matters
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
- Provide age-appropriate care across all patient populations
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records
- Serve as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Returning workers may extend an assignment once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
- Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
