Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with required OASIS and HCHB experience to care for a geriatric patient population.
Details
- Home Health setting providing in-home care to a geriatric patient population
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day with a minimum of 30 points weekly
- On-call rotation may be required
- Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the hub office, with flexibility expected across the territory
- All charting must be completed by 9am the following morning
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent relevant Home Health experience
- OASIS experience required for completing Start of Care (SOC) assessments
- Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR required
- Active driver's license and personal transportation required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include admission assessments, start of care, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and discharge documentation
- Clinical skills include wound care, medication administration and management, IV starts and maintenance, phlebotomy, and infection control precautions
- Scrub dress code required, any color, no jeans permitted
- Cell phone use is not permitted; an iPad is provided for work purposes
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
- Monday orientation required, including completion of billable training modules
- RTO blackout dates apply the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's with no time off permitted
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
- Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
- Travel pairs accepted, though each traveler will be assigned their own territory and must have their own transportation
