Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Orthopedic Surgery unit requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of med/surg experience.
Details
- Work in the Orthopedic In-Patient Unit of a 154-bed hospital
- 18-bed unit caring for adult and pediatric ortho patients with common diagnoses including fractures
- Patient ratio of 5:1
- Uses traction equipment
- Meditech EHR used
- Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- No call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Med/Surg experience required
- Orthopedic experience preferred
- Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center and Level 1 NICU
- Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI capability
- Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center
- Ranked in the top 5% nationally for orthopedic outcomes
- Black scrub color required
- Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered a travel candidate
- Cannot have worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
- Weekly orientation held on Mondays
