Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment requiring home health experience and an MI license.
Details
- Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo counties
- Full-time day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend rotation required every 4-6 weeks
- No call requirement and no floating required
- Documentation completed in the electronic health record per compliance timelines
Requirements
- Current MI license required (if applicable)
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Home health experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Valid, active driver's license in good standing required
- Must have daily availability of a personal vehicle for business use and proof of insurance
- Proof of Flu vaccination required with submission, or exemption requested within 48 hours of signing
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and administering physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries or musculoskeletal, nerve, or joint conditions
- Duties include establishing treatment plans, conducting patient and family education, and participating in interdisciplinary rounds and discussions
- May design and fabricate splints and assistive devices as needed
- May provide cross coverage in other Rehabilitation Services departments as needed
- Serves as a clinical resource and provides in-services within the Rehabilitation System
- RTO limited to no more than 10 days
- Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
- Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
- Travelers are expected to float first when needed
