Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP role at a critical access hospital, requiring seasoned travel experience and a compact RN license.

Details

• LDRP unit at a critical access hospital where the OB nurse triages, labors, recovers, and provides postpartum and newborn care
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 up to 1:6 depending on acuity
• Floating between units required
• Weekends required, equally split amongst staff
• No on-call responsibilities
• 48-hour work weeks approved
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• BLS, NRP certifications required; CLC and Stable certifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required (seasoned travelers only)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in Labor and Delivery Management, circulating for C-sections, and performing sterile vaginal exams
• Experience with antepartum care, procedures, and triage of obstetrical patients
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive OB nursing care including triage, labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care in a small critical access hospital setting
• Must work at least one winter holiday during the assignment, scheduled in pairs (Thanksgiving/Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas/Christmas Eve, or New Year's/New Year's Eve)
• Any scrub color permitted; OR attire provided
• No parking fees at this facility
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
• Can only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
