Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years experience and ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification for a pediatric hospital setting.
Details
- Pediatric echo tech position covering main campus and close-to-home locations
- No travel between multiple locations on the same day; full day spent at one scheduled location
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Monday to Friday day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
- No call, holiday, or weekend coverage required
- Floating to different units required depending on assignment needs
- Siemens and GE/Philips equipment used
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification required
- ARDMS RDCS PE or RDCS certification required; RDCS AE and RDCS FE preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Skills required include Pediatric Echo, 2-D Echo, Color Doppler, Continuous Wave Doppler, Pulsed Wave Doppler, Routine and Portable Studies
- Experience scanning complex anomalies and post-surgical repairs preferred
- Experience with pediatric anomalies including Coarctation of the Aorta, Pulmonary Venous Return Anomalies, Tetralogy of Fallot, Transposition of the Great Vessels, and Tricuspid/Pulmonary Atresia required
- Experience with Aortic Arch Abnormalities/Vascular Ring, Coronary Artery Anomalies, Double Outlet Ventricle, Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome, and Bubble Studies preferred
- Fetal Echocardiography and ICU experience preferred
- Pediatric Outpatient work setting experience required
- Knowledge of Isolation Precautions/PPE required
Additional Information
- Candidates must not have worked in a permanent position at this facility within the last 2 years
- 60-mile radius rule applies to local candidates for allied positions; local candidates are not accepted for RN roles
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Two references required at time of consideration, with at least one from a manager or supervisor
