Description
American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week day shift assignment in an acute rehabilitation hospital setting.
Details
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital with an attached 10-bed LTACH/ICU unit (56 total staffed beds)
- Shift options of 5x8 or 4x10 day shifts, 7:00-17:00
- 2 weekend shifts per month required
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic for charting
- Patient population includes orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI, COPD, CHF, and joint replacements
- Utilizes various adaptive devices, mobility aids, and modalities including E-stim and TENS
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Alaska PT license or compact PT license required (license required if applicable)
- LTAC experience preferred
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and use of assistive and adaptive devices
- Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic rehabilitation preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across inpatient rehab and LTACH/ICU settings
- May involve use of adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and therapeutic modalities
- Scrub color is flexible
- Parking is free on-site
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Returning staff must wait at least 3 months before returning and must live outside the 50-mile radius
- Must be willing to work 3 of 5 major holidays
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
