Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Epic charting experience and an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• PCU/Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, neurological, and stepdown-level patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Floating required to other units or facility locations within the health system
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and respiratory care preferred
• Two supervisory references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) dated within the past year required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/31-3/31) with medical/religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a progressive care/telemetry environment, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Former Health First employees or contract staff must wait at least one year before returning as a travelers
• Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate with no radius restrictions
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Scrub requirement: any color accepted but tops and bottoms must match, no logos or prints
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and are reviewed during the interview process
• Travel pairs permitted with unit leader approval, though matching schedules are not guaranteed
