Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in mammography and ARRT (Mammography) certification for an outpatient screening and diagnostic imaging role.
Details
- Outpatient screening and diagnostic mammography, including bone density studies
- Performs stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies, magseed and wire localization placements, and post-clip placement procedures
- Average caseload of 30-40 patients per day
- 5x8 day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, with variable hours (Mon/Fri 8:00-16:30, Tue-Thu 9:00-17:30)
- Rotating Saturday coverage required approximately every 6th week
- No on-call requirements
- No floating outside of scope required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (Mammography) certification required
- Illinois IEMA license required (license required if applicable)
- Registered Breast Ultrasound or Registered Breast Sonographer certification preferred
- Comfortable performing post-clip exams
- DEXA experience is a plus
- Will not be required to perform biopsies or localization exams
- Community hospital experience required
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
Additional Information
- Acute care hospital setting with 154 staffed beds
- Meditech charting experience highly preferred, though training is provided during orientation
- Black scrubs required for imaging staff
- Free parking available in designated employee lots
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Finalized RTO must be submitted with the candidate profile, with no time off during the first week of the assignment and a maximum of 10 days of RTO per assignment
- Former Anderson Healthcare employees are not eligible to return as travelers
