Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week assignment requiring ARRT-R certification and Cath Lab/Angio scrub experience.
Details
- Acute care teaching hospital with Adult Level I Trauma designation
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- 1 weekend per 4 weeks (Fri/Sat/Sun) with potential additional open call shift
- On-call requirements include 1 week of night call per week and 1 weekend per 4 weeks from Friday end of shift to Monday 7:00 AM, with 30-minute response time
- Uses Epic charting system
- Travelers expected to float within site and across system as requested
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab required
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), PCI, and PTCA
- Skilled in interpretation of dysrhythmias and isolation precautions/PPE
- Scrub experience in both Cath Lab and Angio settings required
- Active Oregon State license or proof of license application and fingerprinting required
- One professional reference required from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager, preferably within the last year
- No felony convictions accepted
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up and adherence to professional knowledge and skills standards
- Scrubs provided for Cath Lab positions, any color besides all black or camo print
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space, with EV charging available
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Local travelers are not accepted; candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any facility in the system
- Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers required to complete assigned education within one week of starting
- First-time travelers not considered for this position
