Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 12-hour day shift role at a teaching hospital, requiring 1-2 years of PACU experience and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 at the main hospital and an affiliated Day Surgery Center, two locations within the same hospital system
• 4x12-hour day shifts beginning at 0800, 0930, or 1100
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Weekend shifts as needed per unit requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between the main hospital and Day Surgery Center as well as affiliate hospitals nearby
• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds

Requirements

• Active MN RN license (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• 1-2 years of PACU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic (Excellian) charting experience required
• Minimum of one supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide pre-op, PACU, and Phase 2 recovery care across surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, ortho, vascular, and general surgery
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Returning staff must have been separated from any perm staff or per diem role for at least 3 months prior to starting
• RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days
• First-time travel nurses are not accepted for this position
• Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or for former perm staff
