Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications with on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Combined unit servicing L&D (vaginal & cesarean), post-partum, antepartum, and Level II nursery
• Level 2 inpatient obstetrical and Level 2 NICU neonatal patient population
• Cares for GYN/medical overflow, antepartum, observational triage, mother baby couplet care, and border babies
• Performs or assists with procedures such as versions, IOL, cervical ripening, IUFD care and bereavement, and OR cesarean sections
• Staffing ratios include 1:1 for complications or active labor, 1:3 for stable antepartum, 1:1-2 for unstable antepartum, 1:3/4 for couplet care, 2:1 for delivery, and 1:2-3 for NICU level 2 depending on condition
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7p-7a
• On-call requirement of 48 hours within a 6 week block
• Floating outside specialty may be required to assist as helping hands using general nursing skills

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Pending license candidates may be considered
• Current certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP
• Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
