Description

American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float RN for night shift ICU rotations across multiple critical care units at a Magnet teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

  • Critical Care Float position rotating through Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Medical ICU/Bone Marrow Transplant-Oncology ICU, and one mutually agreed Med-Surg department
  • Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
  • Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Floating within the hospital required; floating to sister hospitals not required
  • Uses EPIC charting system
  • Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds

Requirements

  • Active WA RN license or compact license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • First-time travelers not accepted
  • Pending license not accepted

Additional Information

  • Floats across multiple critical care specialty units based on staffing needs
  • COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
  • RTO limited to 1 week maximum and cannot be requested during orientation week
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
  • Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for 18 months before returning as a traveler
  • Parking costs approximately $10.26 daily
  • Scrubs of any color permitted; scrubs provided for OR personnel
