Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a ND or compact RN license and 3 years of L&D experience.
Details
- Acute care setting in a Labor & Delivery unit with 19 beds
- Cares for L&D patients including high-risk deliveries, postpartum mom and baby, and gyn surgical post-op patients
- Nurse to patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for L&D, 1:3 for mom/baby couplets, and 1:4 for gyn patients
- Uses fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital sign monitors, OBIX documentation, and centralized monitoring for L&D
- Uses EPIC for gyn charting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts
- Rotating weekends and holidays required
- Floating required to NB nursery and NICU
Requirements
- Active ND or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- STABLE certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in L&D, Postpartum, and Gyn care
- Fetal monitoring experience required
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care during delivery for high-risk L&D patients, postpartum mom and baby, and gyn surgical post-op patients
- 36 hours of orientation provided for travelers
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Navy blue scrubs required for gyn and mom/baby care, hospital-provided scrubs for L&D
- Candidates must live outside an 80-mile radius of the facility to be considered for this position
- Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
