Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN for day shift with telemetry and IV start experience required in a teaching hospital setting.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a teaching hospital
• 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Weekday and some weekend shifts required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating required within the OSU hospital system
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with strong Stepdown/PCU background preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• IV start and telemetry skills required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or Supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and emergency cardiac response for progressive care patients
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to work as travelers at any Ohio State University hospital location
• RTO must be submitted and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
