Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ year of MR Cardiac experience and ARRT MR certification for a Trauma Level I facility.
Details
- Work in a mobile MRI unit serving inpatient and outpatient populations
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Rotating Friday-Sunday call required
- Scans include Brain (Perfusion, Functional, Spectroscopy), Body (Enterography, Defecography, Musculoskeletal), Breast (including biopsy), and Spine
- Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- ARRT MR certification required (ARMRIT not accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience with MR Cardiac imaging with and without contrast required
- Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, perfusion, spectroscopy, and MR angiography
- Fluoroscopy permit may be required if applicable
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
- Must be clean-shaven to achieve proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions are accepted
- CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal units are not permitted
- Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6 month break before returning
