Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry unit requiring ACLS certification and experience with post-cath and pacemaker patient recovery.
Details
- 13-week seasonal travel assignment on a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit (7N)
- 7A-7P shift schedule
- Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
- Unit utilizes Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allyn vitals machines
- EMR: Meditech
- Required to work 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday/Saturday nights or Saturday/Sunday days)
- Floating required to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU
Requirements
- Active RN license (MO or compact) required
- ACLS certification required, not expiring within first 30 days of start
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry
- Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal), pacemaker placements, stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips required
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two professional references required for MO placements
Additional Information
- Grey scrub color required for RNs
- Best suited for a fast-paced, high-energy individual with a strong sense of teamwork
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
