Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a Critical Access Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital treating patients of all ages across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings
- Therapy department also provides wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialty services
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- Clinician may float within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF as needed
- Level IV Trauma facility with 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
- Charting is done in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Active AK state license required (license required if applicable)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Pediatric and adolescent experience preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across outpatient, acute care, and SNF populations
- May involve pediatric specialty care including developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and early intervention programs
- Scrub color is flexible or business casual attire accepted
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
- RTO requests are considered based on request, with commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays
