Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a critical access hospital treating patients across outpatient, acute care, and SNF settings.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital with 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
- Level IV Trauma facility serving patients of all ages and diagnoses
- Therapy department covers outpatient, inpatient, and SNF patients, including wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- Clinician will float within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF as needed
- May also float between sister facilities within the state
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Active Alaska PT license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Pediatric and adolescent experience preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings
- Scrub color is flexible, business casual also accepted
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront and are granted based on request
- Not open to local candidates; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside a 50-mile radius
- Facility provides housing and a rental car during the assignment
