Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an IMCU/Progressive Care night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and at least one year of recent specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the IMCU/Progressive Care unit (6 East Medical) on the 6th floor of the central tower
• 10-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4
• Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, and 1 CNA/PCT per shift
• Equipment used includes Bipap and trach vents
• Uses the Expanse EMR system
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• 4 weekend shifts required during the assignment
• Floating required to the IMCU/Stroke department

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in IMCU, Progressive Care, or ICU-Stepdown required
• Familiarity with Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, and 3% Saline preferred
• Experience with chest tube insertion procedures preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Care for IMCU/Progressive Care patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions
• Flexible, positive attitude preferred for team fit
• Blue scrubs required per facility dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
