Description

American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a seasonal 13-week night shift assignment requiring current PICU experience, BLS, and PALS certification.

Details

  • Work in a 20-bed Pediatric ICU within a children's hospital setting
  • Staffing includes a charge nurse, bedside RNs, and PCT support on day shift
  • Patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 depending on acuity
  • Uses Philips monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
  • Meditech EMR in use
  • 13-week assignment on night shift, 7P-7A

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CO or compact) required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 1-year current PICU RN experience required
  • Post-op cardiac experience and venous puncture skills preferred
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Care for pediatric patients requiring conscious sedation, respiratory failure management (ETT, HFOV), CT placement, and central line maintenance
  • Ideal candidates are flexible, helpful, and humble team players
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • First-time travelers may be considered
