Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a critical access hospital, requiring an active AK RN license and at least 1 year of LDRP experience.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital with acute care and long-term care beds
• LDRP setting with fetal monitoring, triage of obstetrical patients, and antepartum/postpartum care
• 3x12 variable shifts covering both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) rotations
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, administration of blood products, and use of infusion pumps
• Experience with labor and delivery management including high risk and vaginal deliveries
• Competency in neonatal care in the delivery room and newborn care
• Experience with postpartum care and procedures, including couplet care and multiple births
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring including external and internal monitoring methods
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages
• Facility provides housing, typically 1-bedroom apartments, during the assignment
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront and are granted based upon request
• Scrub color is flexible or business casual attire is acceptable
• Parking is provided at no cost
