Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of experience and NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification to rotate between two campus Nuclear Medicine departments.
Details
- Rotates between two campus Nuclear Medicine departments alongside other full-time technologists
- Floats between General Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology service lines
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with hours varying slightly by campus location (6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
- Rotating on-call coverage 7 days a week required at main campus location
- Weekend and holiday coverage required only for on-call duties
- Level II Trauma, acute care hospital setting
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
- BLS and CNMT certification required
- Must be NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certified
- State license required in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography (SCRQSA); license required if applicable
- ARRT (CT) certification preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience required with bone scans (whole body and 3 phase), HIDA scans, GI bleed studies, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid imaging, thyroid uptake studies, renal scans with Lasix, lung scans, MUGA scans, WBC infection imaging, and MPI stress tests
- Must provide own radiation badge, as the facility does not supply one to travelers
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Candidates must complete required training modules, averaging 4 hours, prior to starting the assignment
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for facility approval
- Facility may cancel up to one shift per two-week period
- Previous MUSC staff, including PRN employees, must have been separated from the system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates will be considered at a reduced rate
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a 10% reduction in bill rate
- During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
