Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a Diagnostic Imaging position requiring 3-5 years of OR experience and Level 1 trauma background to independently manage complex surgical cases with C-arm equipment.
Details
- Rad Diagnostic unit performing diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all ages
- 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday
- Operates in an OR environment supporting complex Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and General surgery cases
- Uses radiographic and C-arm equipment
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience within the OR required
- Must independently support complex Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and General surgery cases with minimal additional training
- Level 1 trauma experience required due to high-acuity surgical environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current FL Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required

- Responsibilities include positioning patients, operating radiographic equipment, producing quality diagnostic images, and maintaining patient safety
- Ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory standards and radiation safety practices
- Maintains accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Communicates with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Supports department quality initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements
- Unit Manager interview required as part of the hiring process
- Florida AHCA Level 2 screening may take up to 14 business days to process
- Seasonal influenza vaccination required, with medical exemption requests allowed for the 2026-2027 season via exemption form
- Candidates with prior travel assignment experience will be considered
- Local submissions not accepted
- Eligible for local rate within 50 miles
