Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Level I Trauma background for a Level I Trauma center.
Details
- Work in a Level I Trauma acute care Interventional Radiology unit
- Unit includes 2 general IR suites, 1 Spine IR room, and 2 neuro endo suites
- Caseload of 5-10 cases per day
- Day shifts, 8 hours, Monday-Friday (8:30a-5p or 9a-5:30p)
- Possible weekend work including some Saturdays
- No call requirement
- No floating outside of the Radiology department
- Uses Cerner EMR and DR (PACS) imaging system
- Floor specific orientation includes Philips Allera and Medrad injector equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
- Arizona MRTBE-CRT license required if applicable
- VI certificate is a plus but not required
- Scrub experience preferred
- Neuro experience in endovascular procedures, embolizations, stents, and stroke treatment is a plus but not required
- Must be comfortable scrubbing in with MD during sedation cases alongside 2 RNs
Additional Information
- Perform procedures including GI/GJ tubes, port placements, angiograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes, stent placements, IVC filters, and blood patches
- Candidates with primarily neuro-focused experience may also be considered depending on case type
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Hospital permanent residence radius rules may apply depending on state
