Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN requiring a CA license and at least 2-3 years of ICU experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• ICU setting within a community hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• PALS certification required, must be obtained prior to start if not already held
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, 3+ years preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, paralytics, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management; hypothermia protocol experience preferred
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Experience with IV insulin protocols
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• Responsible for infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE compliance
• Candidates must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Accurate 7-year work history required for verification purposes
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Returning travelers must have a one-year separation before reapplying
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
