Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and an active MI license.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit within a 268-bed full-service hospital with a level II trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitoring respiratory and cardiac status
• 12-hour day shifts with a variable start time between 8-10a
• Occasional weekend coverage preferred but not required
• On-call coverage preferred, most likely one night per week with occasional weekend coverage
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Skills checklist pertinent to PACU specialty, current within 1 year
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Additional Information

• Assess patients and provide skilled nursing services per physician-authorized plans of care
• Administer medications, perform treatments, assist with transfers, and respond to alarms
• Evaluate and help update treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Process and carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Navy blue scrub color required
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
