Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring 2+ years of recent experience and a KY or compact license.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, rotating 3x12 and 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- 84 hours per two-week pay period on a 36/48 rotating schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Blocked scheduling not accommodated
- Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- 2+ years of current Med/Surg Tele experience required
- Meditech EMR experience required
- Two professional references required: one Charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year
- Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
Additional Information
- Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted, though medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case
- Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
- Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- RTO limited to up to 7 days and must be requested upfront with no changes accepted
- Must work either a major or minor holiday for every holiday period
- Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after working one year before returning to the system
- Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
