Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a short-term acute care teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting.
Details
- Short term acute care teaching hospital with 536 staff beds
- X-Ray Tech unit
- Day shift, 3x12 hours, Wed-Fri 7:30 AM-8:00 PM
- Block schedule required
- On-call required, 3 shifts per month
- No weekends required
- No floating between units at the contracted facility, though travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby
- Charting in Epic
- Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, bedside/portable procedures, emergency department, ICU, NICU, operating room, pediatric acute care, and pediatric outpatient
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience required, preferably in a large hospital setting similar to the contracted facility
- ARRT-R and BLS certification required
- Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Skills required include abdomen/GI series, upper and lower extremity imaging, spine and pelvis imaging, chest and thorax imaging, and head imaging
- Preferred skills include AC joints, trauma shoulder/humerus imaging, trauma upper extremity imaging, ankle, patella, barium studies, fluoroscopy studies (barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, upper GI series), sacrum/coccyx, facial bones, orbits, skull, and children's hospital/Carestream experience
- Experience with GE, O-ARM, PACS, and Philips equipment preferred
- Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, and radiation safety required
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of radiographic procedures including trauma imaging, fluoroscopy studies, mobile/surgical imaging, and spine and pelvis imaging
- Scrubs may be any color except in OR/Cath Lab where scrubs are provided
- No parking fees at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as requests made after offer may not be accommodated
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
- Former facility employees may return as travelers after a 3 month waiting period
- First-time travelers will be considered, provided they have large hospital experience
