Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit at a Level 3 trauma facility with 39 total beds, including 24 Med/Surg-Tele beds
• Patient population includes non-acute cardiac cases such as pacemaker monitoring and potassium level management
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses MEDITECH charting system and McKesson medication system
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with some weekend requirements
• 36 hours per week
• First priority for floating to other Med/Surg units within scope of practice

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• BSN not required
• MEDITECH charting experience highly preferred
• Basic telemetry experience a plus but not required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Royal blue scrubs required, not provided by facility
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 4 weeks worked
