Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with TNCC and critical care experience for a 13-week assignment on a 7A-7P schedule.

Details

• Level III Trauma Center emergency department with 24 main beds, 12 fast track beds, and 8 hall beds
• Staffed by 67 team members across day and night shifts with incremental staff additions throughout the day
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses specialized equipment including Belmont rapid infuser, Sonosite ultrasound, Arctic Sun, Bair Hugger, and Lucas device
• Meditech EMR used
• 13-week assignment with 7A-7P shift schedule
• No on-call requirement
• No floating requirement

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and TNCC certification required
• Critical care experience required
• 1 year of recent emergency department experience required
• CPI certification required for ER units (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI based on facility requirement)
• ENPC certification preferred
• Ultrasound IV skills preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform airway and resuscitation management, procedural sedation, chest tube insertion, wound care, and splinting
• Supported by a dedicated Emergency Resource Nurse scheduled at 7am and 7pm to assist with critical patients and resuscitations
• Clinical Staff Support role provides additional clinical resources throughout the department
• ED leadership maintains visible presence to assist with operational needs and high-volume situations
