Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg Pediatric RN for a night shift position requiring behavioral/psychiatric experience and MO/KS licensure.
Details
- 18-bed pediatric med surg unit providing short-stay care across two sides for efficient patient flow and team collaboration
- Cares for diverse pediatric population including appendectomies, tonsil and adenoidectomies, viral illnesses, ingestions requiring medical clearance, and behavioral health concerns with underlying medical needs
- Night shift schedule, 3x12s or 4x12s, 19:00-7:30
- Floating required between this facility and a sister hospital in Overland Park, KS, approximately 12 miles away
Requirements
- Active RN license in Missouri and Kansas (or compact) required, pending license not accepted at time of consideration
- BLS and PALS certifications required (AHA only, RQI not accepted)
- Med Surg experience required
- Behavioral/psychiatric experience required
- Pediatrics experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of travel experience required
- Two professional references from a supervisor or higher completed within the last 12 months required for consideration
- Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Deliver patient-centered care across a range of acute and transitional pediatric conditions in a fast-paced, supportive environment
- Smoke-free and nicotine-free campus, with nicotine testing required
- Medication/dosage competency test given during first week, requiring 100% to pass with up to three attempts allowed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
