Description
American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of inpatient experience in orthopedics and neurology for an acute care rehab unit.
Details
- Acute care inpatient rehabilitation unit setting
- Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric cases
- Patient ratio of 1:8
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Some weekend shifts required with no on-call requirement
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Current CA PT license required if applicable
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient experience required
- Orthopedic and neurologic treatment experience required
- Experience with assistive devices, lift equipment, and specialty beds preferred
- Knowledge of post-op orthopedic procedures including total hip, total knee, and spinal surgeries preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge documentation
- Treats conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, COPD, and CHF
- Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday allowed off per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
- Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return
- Not open to first-time travelers
