Description
American Traveler is seeking a Stepdown/PCU RN for a night shift position requiring charge experience and current Medical-Surgical background.
Details
- Work in the Med Surg unit of a Critical Access Hospital
- Patient ratio of up to 6:1, supported by 2 LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and a House Supervisor
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact required
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum 3+ years of current Medical-Surgical experience required
- Minimum 2+ years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
- Charge nurse experience required
- Epic EMR experience highly preferred
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Must have a valid permanent address and personal vehicle
- Skills checklists for Medical Surgical and Stepdown/PCU (current within 1 year) required for consideration
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the processes of care
- Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and all time-off requests must be finalized prior to submission
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position
- Block scheduling and 48-hour guaranteed schedules are not available for this assignment
