Description

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year experience for a critical access hospital, open to first-time travelers.

Details

• Outpatient OT setting within a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Cerner charting system used
• No floating required outside of scope

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Active or pending Illinois state license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted

Additional Information

• Treat adult patients with conditions such as arthritis, CVA, hand injuries, and orthopedic cases including hip and knee replacements
• Perform assessments, evaluations, discharge planning, and reassessments
• Provide home exercise programs, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention guidance
• Business casual or professional athletic attire accepted; no specific scrub color required
• Free parking available with permit obtained during orientation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Schedule and time off requests must be discussed with the manager
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
