Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a large hospital setting requiring RDCS/ARDMS certification and a minimum of 2 years cardiac experience.
Details
- Heart and Vascular Center setting
- 8-hour day shifts with start times varying from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM
- 26-week contract assignment
- Floating to one outreach location per week on average (Stillwater or Westfields)
- Weekend rotation of every 6th or 7th weekend
- No on-call requirements
- No major holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program
- Minimum of 2 years cardiac experience in a large hospital setting
- RDCS and ARDMS certification required
- CPR or BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Knowledge of electrocardiography, arrhythmias, and conduction disturbances
- Knowledge of sterile technique
- Knowledge of mathematical principles including algebra
- Knowledge of defibrillator and crash cart use
- Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation effectively
- Ability to work with critically ill/injured adult patients
- Ability to recognize and respond to medical emergencies
- Ability to recognize and report equipment problems and malfunctions
- Ability to perform basic clerical activities

- Not open to new graduates
- Facility will only consider candidates willing to start within 3 weeks or less
