Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and SC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work on the Medical Surgical unit (4 South) of a hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
- Every other weekend required
- Required to float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as part of a resource pool
- Works with patients requiring IV therapy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, ortho trauma, total joint replacement, surgical drains, and telemetry monitoring
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must obtain prior to start)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Ortho skills required
- Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, GI care, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, CVA care, Heparin and PCA medication administration preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Nursys or other license verification required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical Surgical unit with floating to additional MS and Telemetry units as needed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
- Previous staff RNs at this facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
