Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PCU/Surgical Stepdown position requiring stroke certification and proficiency in IV insulin drips and high flow oxygen management.

Details

• Work in the PCU/Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Stroke-certified unit managing IV insulin drips and high flow oxygen therapy
• 12-hour shifts rotating between 7a-7p and 7p-7a (2 each)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Standby-only call requirements
• Floating required to inpatient units or ED holds within the hospital

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• COVID-19 vaccination card or approved declination required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level care including IV insulin drip management and high flow oxygen therapy
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as traveler rate with no radius rule
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 90 days to return as a traveler
