Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 3+ years of experience and current CA licensure to work Monday-Friday day shifts.
Details
- Outpatient, skilled nursing facility, and inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Monday - Friday schedule, 8am - 5pm
- No holiday coverage required
- 9-week contract assignment
- 2 openings available
Requirements
- Current California PT licensure or certification required
- Current BCLS certification required
- 3+ years of physical therapy experience preferred
- Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of disease processes and related causative factors
- Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office applications
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, treatment planning, and reassessment across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
- Coordinates patient care with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers
- Trains nursing and departmental staff through on-the-job instruction
- Maintains documentation in compliance with current standards and policies
- Operates and maintains physical therapy equipment safely
- Adheres to dress code and wears identification badge while on duty
- Participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
