Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ED Boarder Program position on nights, requiring 1+ years of travel nursing experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department PCS Boarder Program setting
- Care provided for patients boarding in hallways and bays rather than a traditional inpatient unit
- Fast-paced, high-activity environment with frequent movement between care areas for patients, medications, and supplies
- Faster patient turnover and pace compared to a typical inpatient unit
- 36 hours per week, night shift from 19:00-07:00
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted at some locations, Salem requires AHA only)
- Minimum 1+ years of travel nursing experience required
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start and upon expiration via NURSYS and BON
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED boarding environment
- Local candidates must reside more than 60 miles from Boston to qualify for standard travel rate
- Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
- Parking not validated at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking required
