Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for an Operating Room position at an Ambulatory Surgery Center, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) within the General Surgery department
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• 32-hour guarantee with possible early release once cases are completed for the day

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous ASC or OR experience preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong computer system skills or ability to be trained
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting, including assessments, treatments, and care coordination
• Collaborate with an inter-professional healthcare team to implement individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate patient and family education and support discharge planning processes
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
