Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics unit requiring 1 year of specialty experience and a Montana or compact RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg Orthopedics unit in a hospital setting
- Variable 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- May require floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May require on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses EPIC for clinical documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license in Montana or compact license required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required, plus ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for the unit
- Certifications must not expire prior to the assignment start date
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics required
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans and refer patients for further evaluation as needed
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Background check and drug screening results required at least 2 weeks before start, with lab reporting for drug screen within 24 hours of commitment
