Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Oncology unit requiring CO or compact RN license and 1 year of oncology specialty experience.
Details
- Works in the Med Surg 3 unit caring for oncology patients
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association, must not expire prior to start
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit
- Chemotherapy certification and oncology nursing certification preferred
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- 1 year of experience in oncology nursing specialty required
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care while performing health teaching and counseling
- Provides therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to patient life and well-being
- Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans and refers patients as needed
- Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
- RTO requests will be reviewed as applicants come in
