Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Endoscopy with at least 1 year of GI/Endoscopy experience and prior travel assignment history for an outpatient endoscopy center.

Details

  • Outpatient endoscopy center setting
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No weekend requirements
  • No on-call requirements
  • Bi-weekly orientations
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of GI/Endoscopy nursing experience required
  • Required Epic charting experience
  • Must pass an EKG/Telemetry exam onsite
  • Experience with procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
  • Skilled in administering and monitoring conscious sedation
  • Experience with post-procedure care and recovery from conscious sedation
  • Experience circulating during procedures
  • Skilled in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and specimen handling/labeling
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include circulating, administering conscious sedation, and monitoring patients post-procedure
  • Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
  • Galaxy Blue scrubs required
  • Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
  • Candidates with previous permanent employment at this health system must not have been employed within the past 6 months
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
