Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active ND or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Acute care Emergency Department setting with 11 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary based on ED volume
• Uses EPIC EMR with the ASAP module, along with Omnicell medication system
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Every third weekend required
• No floating to other units
• Will not work alone during shifts

Requirements

• Active ND State or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of previous ER experience required
• Cardiac knowledge preferred
• Accredited RN nursing education program completion required
• BSN not required
• Flu shot required
• Last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients of all ages using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family teaching and education
• Collaborate with ancillary nursing staff and interdisciplinary care team members
• Hospital and department orientation provided, including training on the EPIC ASAP module
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Black scrubs required for dress code
• Will accept local candidates
• Candidates with previous employment at this facility or health system must disclose this for review
• Required training modules must be completed prior to starting assignment
