Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility, requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS/NBCOT certification.
Details
- Acute Care and Skilled Nursing OT setting
- Day shift, 4x10 or 5x8 hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM for 4x10 schedule)
- Coverage needed primarily Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- 2 weekend days required per month
- Epic charting system preferred
- Diverse caseload including orthopedic, neurological, and rehabilitation cases such as CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, and joint replacements
- Experience with adaptive equipment, wheelchair evaluations, and pre-discharge planning
Requirements
- Active AK Occupational Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS and NBCOT certification required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Epic charting experience preferred
- 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required

- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
- Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license candidates accepted
