Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring CA RN licensure and stroke patient care experience.

Details

• Primarily scheduled on Med/Surg units 4 or 5 with required competency to float to Telemetry
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Telemetry work setting with cardiac monitoring responsibilities

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele nursing experience required
• Experience with stroke patients required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Prior Med/Surg experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• ICU/ED experience preferred
• Conscious sedation and ventilator management experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than earlobe earrings, and all tattoos must be covered
• Blocked scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
• Only 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
• First-time travelers considered with strong relevant experience
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
